Google and all the famous Social Media Sites are tracking all your online activities, all the time. While Google does it to show you advertisements you might be interested in, but you can also be tracked by Cyber Criminals which can result in harm or serious breach of privacy.
Here is how you can prevent being tracked:
Always keep your webcam covered. There is malware that can get into your computer or smart device on cameras and recorders to access your private activities.
Monitor your outgoing information:
The Netstat command generates a list of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses that your computer is sending information to. Here is how you can get the list:
Click the Windows Start Button
Type ‘cmd’ to launch the Command window
Black Box will be displayed with text reading ‘C:\Users\Your Username’
Type ‘netstat’ next to the prompt
A list of all outgoing data transmissions will be generated.
Document each IP address
Launch a web browser
Enter each IP address into browser’s address bar
This will locate where the information is being sent
Locating Malicious Software:
Right Click on your taskbar
Select ‘Start Task Manager’ to launch task manager
Close all programmes except for one Web Browser
Select the ‘Processes’ tab
Select ‘User Name’
Browse though the list to view all processes
Look for the processes that do not include your username
Uncheck Google ‘Ad Personalisation’:
Google creates a personal profile for every individual users based on user’s specific interests. Based on this profile various ads keep following you around the internet. Therefore, it is important that your ‘ad personalisation’ option on your Google account is left unchecked.

Browsing in incognito/private mode does not solve these problems as even this won’t completely stop the ads.
